Being an entrepreneur and leader of a small beauty startup is not an easy feat. Starting off as a two-woman show, we had to do everything ourselves, from picking the right manufacturer to customer service, and sometimes even handling deliveries personally during the festive season.
Two female founders grew into a team of four, juggling chaotic meetings at each other’s homes and having guest discussions at noisy cafes, with no space to call our own.
Establishing Our First Dedicated Headquarters
With strategic planning and marketing, our products’ market share grew steadily (from webstore to 15 beauty carts in three years), and after a round of funding, our business is ready for the next expansion beyond the Klang Valley.
Last month, we were proud to move into our first private office at INFINITY8 Reserve Sunway Square, where we could conduct our operations with better teamwork and efficiency, and a physical space to host our 30 staff whenever we needed.
Join me for a tour of my new office and come along for a day in the life of a beauty entrepreneur!
Inside a Founder’s Workday
My day begins at 6:00am. I wake up, get myself and my two children ready and drop them off before 8:00am. Traffic is heavy, but thankfully, my office is just 10 minutes’ drive from my daughters’ kindergarten.
At 8:15am, I reached Level 23 of Sunway Square Corporate Tower 2, where INFINITY8 is located.

As the CEO of a beauty and skincare startup, I’m a huge believer that first impressions matter. A beautiful workspace and a welcoming setting like INFINITY8 Reserve sets us apart and ensures a welcoming presence for all our guests, suppliers and distributors alike.
The openness of the space, the thoughtful layout and the natural light from the windows make it more than an office. The guest lounge feels more like a boutique hotel than a workplace, with custom-designed sofas in calming yet vibrant tones.

A Workspace That Reflects Brand Positioning
Choosing Sunway as our headquarters location is a strategic move for our beauty brand. We aim to expand regionally in the next 10 to 15 years, and positioning our brand in a prime location is vital.
One of the key reasons is its accessibility — Sunway City is a major township 18km from Kuala Lumpur, and is connected to the Damansara-Puchong Expressway (LPD), Shah Alam Expressway (KESAS) and the New Klang Valley Expressway (NKVE).
The Sunway group is a leading conglomerate with multiple businesses and core interests, spanning real estate to healthcare and education. The group is also committed to sustainability with a net-zero goal slated for 2050, and this aligns with our brand’s strong emphasis on environmental sustainability, too. Sustainability isn’t announced loudly here, but it’s quietly embedded into the way the building operates, from energy use to water efficiency, even down to how food waste is handled.

An Entrepreneur’s Rhythm: Alignment and Scalable Momentum
The first ritual of my morning is always coffee. Before the day gathers momentum, I pour myself an iced café latte from INFINITY8’s coffee machine and let the quiet hum of the space ease me into work mode. It’s a small pause that signals the start of a full day ahead.
Every Monday, we gather for our weekly sales huddle in the discussion room, while the rest of the team joins virtually. These weekly check-ins are crucial for my team. We stay aligned with our plans and have focused conversations without distractions.

Fridays take on a slightly different pace. Early in the morning, we host breakfast meet-ups at INFINITY8 MyTown for our beauty advisors who staff our retail carts across Klang Valley malls. Being able to move seamlessly between locations across Kuala Lumpur makes these gatherings feel effortless rather than logistically heavy. This is something I’ve come to deeply value as the business grows.

Next month, we’ll be hosting a northern region product launch at INFINITY8 Reserve George Town, housed in a beautifully restored heritage building. The contrast between the grand exterior and its refined, contemporary interior creates exactly the atmosphere I want for introducing our brand to partners and KOLs — elegant, confident, and rooted in history.

For lunch, my team and I head downstairs to Sunway Square Mall or to Sunway Geo Avenue. With so many food options just steps away, lunch becomes a welcome reset rather than a rushed necessity. Grocery runs, healthcare appointments and leisure meets at the mall are just a few floors away, adding to the convenience of the space.
Designed for Focus, Recovery and Creativity
The other amenities of the space that I deeply appreciate are the breastfeeding room, and Snooze Lounge. These rooms provide a short respite from the workday, reminding me how thoughtfully this space supports real working lives, not just our business narratives. In addition, the space is filled with local artwork, environmental art and terrariums by local artists, adding aspects of comfort and creativity that nurture the artistic soul.

Our eight-person private office comfortably holds the rhythm of our management team, with everyone showing up daily to collaborate and execute. Natural light floods the space, and our e-commerce manager has even carved out a small corner to photograph products.
To stay lean, we’ve outsourced our human resources and talent sourcing to the INFINITY8 team, allowing us to focus on growth while knowing the administrative backbone is handled smoothly. It’s one less layer of complexity in an already full entrepreneurial life.

Building Culture Beyond the Workplace
Once a month, the energy shifts again as our extended team gathers for a full-day meeting. Colleagues from outstation join us, filling the larger meeting room with conversation, updates, and laughter. By the end of the session, it feels less like a formal meeting and more like a collective reset. I’m grateful that this space is one that supports the business while providing opportunities to strengthen the team.

The day often ends the way many good working days should — with food, shared stories, and a bit of play. Whether it’s dinner in the mall, bubble tea orders mid-discussion, or team bonding activities like bowling or movie nights, these moments matter. They remind me that building a business isn’t just about strategy, it’s about the people.
Thank you for spending a day with me. I hope this glimpse into my work routine has given you a genuine feel for what it’s like to work from INFINITY8. Here, work flows naturally into life, and productivity feels supported rather than forced.
